Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

on October 12th, 2011

Last night’s Bloomberg-Washington Post GOP debate was perhaps the best one yet for many reasons. First, it focused on the topic at the forefront of every American’s mind: the economy. Second, it featured an interesting round in which the moderator allowed candidates to ask each other questions. Most importantly, it showcased the fact that many [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: March 2011 Edition

on March 25th, 2011

What do you think are President Obama’s biggest strength and biggest weakness? – Amy H. His biggest strength is his ability to disguise his record with his rhetoric. Many in the GOP typically make that job easier for him by not challenging the prominent distinction between the two. His biggest weakness is his big-government, deficit-ballooning [...]

No Time to Waste

on March 11th, 2011

It is abundantly clear to so many of us that we have an enormous problem in this country right now—the policies being advocated by President Obama and the Democratic leadership.  However, we also have a substantial problem on the Right—a refusal by GOP leaders to stand up for strict fiscal discipline and a hesitance on [...]

GOP Women Pave the Way for Big 2010 and 2012 Republican Gains

on June 28th, 2010

As I exited a small café in Massachusetts on a recent weekend getaway, two women were standing outside holding signs that read Stop the anti-woman GOP women. (They were not far from another female wearing a poster that read Death penalty for Bush/Cheney, among other delightful messages of liberal tolerance. But I digress.) I casually [...]

EMILY’s List Targets Palin, Bachmann

on June 20th, 2010

My mother recently received some interesting mail. Upon opening it, she quickly enjoyed a hearty laugh. Dad soon stuck it in an envelope and sent it my way. So, what summer gift did the Bilas receive in the mail this year? A request for donations from EMILY’s List. We’ll get to the accompanying letter soon [...]
