Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

On Compromise And Obstructionism

on January 6th, 2011

The word compromise gets a lot of play in the world of political punditry. I would be a rich woman if I had a nickel for every time I heard a commentator praise acts of bipartisanship, while denouncing obstructionism. Plenty of Republicans and Democrats pledged support for Obama’s December tax deal because the President gave [...]

Crunch Time: 2010 Elections

on October 26th, 2010

It’s crunch time, folks! Just one week remains until conservatives cast votes for a new wave of leaders they hope will halt Obama’s tax-and-spend agenda, restore a commitment to our Constitution, protect states’ rights, and shake up the Washington machine. According to a new POLITICO/George Washington University Battleground Poll, “Republicans hold a 14-point edge among [...]

2010 Elections: Let’s Get Ready to Rumble

on October 4th, 2010

Preliminary disclaimer for all lefty loons: By “rumble,” I mean kick figurative booty by pulling the lever for constitutional conservatives on Election Day. No violence implied, condoned, or promoted. Are you ready to help take back our country? Are you ready for a new wave of conservative leadership that will repeal Obama’s health care monstrosity, [...]

Challenging the GOP Establishment

What do Marco Rubio, Sarah Palin, and Joe Miller have in common? One:  They’re principled conservatives. Two: They aren’t part of Washington’s business-as-usual machine. And three: They – and many like them – have caused quite a few in the GOP establishment to shake in their boots. The National Republican Senatorial Committee has backed RINOs [...]

Let’s Make the Founding Fathers Proud

on March 31st, 2010

Yes, the health care bill passed.  Yes, it’s an atrocity that will expand the entitlement bracket in this country, inflict a barrage of new taxes upon hard-working families, and balloon our national debt, among many other disastrous consequences.  Yes, you have a right to be angry.  But chin up, folks.  The 2010 elections are just [...]

Marco Rubio’s CPAC Home Run

on February 22nd, 2010

So many frustrated conservatives have been awaiting the arrival of a Republican candidate who simply gets it.  Someone who isn’t a fancy token of the establishment, but a regular guy or gal who is smart, authentic, and in touch with America’s founding principles.  If you haven’t done so already, shift your focus over to Florida.  [...]
