Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

Stephen Bannon Talks ‘Occupy Unmasked’

on April 2nd, 2012

“It is a war film—about the war at home, the war between the radical left and the American people,” Writer and Director Stephen K. Bannon told me recently about his upcoming film, Occupy Unmasked. The film is set to be released this Spring and features a lead role by the late conservative hero Andrew Breitbart, [...]

This Is No Time for the GOP to Compromise

on November 28th, 2011

Pundits and politicos love the word “compromise.” There seems to be no better way for a politician and/or media figure to instantly be well-liked, appear perfectly “reasonable,” and go back to their inner circles having offended absolutely no one. This past Sunday on ABC’s “This Week With Christiane Amanpour,” former Secretary of State Colin Powell [...]

Dear GOP Leadership

on July 9th, 2011

Are you feeling principled today? How about gutsy? Are the wishes of voters — the same voters that afforded you a 2010 landslide victory — at the forefront of your minds? I certainly hope so. As conservatives across the country await a decision as to whether or not there will be an increase in the [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: April 2011 Edition

on April 28th, 2011

With all of the infighting in the Republican Party, how can a non-political junkie decide who the right candidate is? If I were Obama, I would keep my mouth shut and let the other side self-destruct. Why can’t they just concentrate on Obama’s record and stand together? – Ben While I agree that some political [...]

Sarah Palin Rocks Madison

on April 17th, 2011

She was feisty. She was bold. And she was gutsy. At a Tea Party rally in Madison, Wis., on Saturday, Sarah Palin pulled no punches. The former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential candidate credited the Tea Party with winning “an electoral victory of historic proportions last November.” She praised Scott Walker’s efforts toward fiscal discipline. [...]

My statement on the budget deal: No more pale pastels

on April 10th, 2011

The United States is over $14 trillion in debt. The AP reported in March that, “The federal government’s budget deficit grew by $222.5 billion in February, the largest one-month increase in history. Economists are forecasting the deficit for the year will be the biggest imbalance on record.” So, am I popping the cork on the [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: January 2011 Edition

on January 25th, 2011

Would you ever consider working for a political candidate? – Joseph M. Yes, but only for someone I’d trust. In the world of politics, that’s quite difficult to come by. What do you expect from Obama’s SOTU address? – Kristine L. Lots of talk of bipartisanship (after cramming a health care law we didn’t want [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: Election Special!

on November 2nd, 2010

Do you think the winners, as well as the losers, will recognize this election for what it is – a restraining order? – Joe, New York I hope elected Republicans realize that Americans expect them to reject a big-government agenda, and to represent the antithesis of what tax-and-spend Obama allies have championed. I don’t have [...]

Obama’s Divisive Games on Univision

on October 29th, 2010

In a recent radio interview with Univision’s Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo, President Obama was quick to call out those “from the other side” for their “divisive and damaging” rhetoric. The only problem? His own rhetoric was a prototype of division at its best, right down to the labeling and stereotyping he appears to love so much, [...]

Top Ten Leftist Comebacks

on October 22nd, 2010

You’ve heard them before and you’ll hear them again. They’ve occasionally inspired you to put on a “Right Wing Extremist” t-shirt – Founding Fathers image included – and stroll around the late-night San Francisco party scene. That’s right, folks. I’m talking about run-of-the-mill leftist comebacks. They’re plentiful, varied, and – most importantly – infused with [...]
