Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

What the mainstream media should be covering

on June 14th, 2011

Many in the mainstream media have been busy! It must be tough spending hour after hour trying to amp up supposed rivalries between GOP candidates. Plus, rereading Sarah Palin’s emails with a magnifying glass can get awfully taxing on the eyes. As always, what have remained untouched by the vast majority of “objective” reporters are [...]

Time to Hold Obama Accountable in 2012

on May 6th, 2011

There has been quite a bit of talk about whether the killing of Osama bin Laden will increase President Obama’s chances of winning the 2012 election. A New York Times/CBS News poll this week revealed that “57 percent said they now approved of the president’s job performance, up from 46 percent last month.” However, The [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: April 2011 Edition

on April 28th, 2011

With all of the infighting in the Republican Party, how can a non-political junkie decide who the right candidate is? If I were Obama, I would keep my mouth shut and let the other side self-destruct. Why can’t they just concentrate on Obama’s record and stand together? – Ben While I agree that some political [...]

On Compromise And Obstructionism

on January 6th, 2011

The word compromise gets a lot of play in the world of political punditry. I would be a rich woman if I had a nickel for every time I heard a commentator praise acts of bipartisanship, while denouncing obstructionism. Plenty of Republicans and Democrats pledged support for Obama’s December tax deal because the President gave [...]

Top 10 Christmas Gifts for Barack Obama

on December 22nd, 2010

It’s that joyous time of the year again. The chestnuts are roasting, the tree is tinseled and lit, and you’re trying to figure out how to seat 10 people at a dining room table made for seven. That’s right, it’s Christmas. In the spirit of giving, I thought I’d share my “Top Ten Christmas Gifts [...]

The Left’s Unjust “Justice”

on December 8th, 2010

This past weekend, I had a conversation about extending the Bush tax cuts with a proud member of New York City’s Left. I was called the usual names—unfair and ally of the rich—because I voiced that taxes shouldn’t be raised on anyone during times of economic distress. He retorted that “the rich” could stand to [...]

If Only Obama Would Say

on November 19th, 2010

Have you ever sat on your living room sofa watching an Obama press conference or television interview, hoping for him to say something that would make you leap up with a big smile and applaud? I certainly have. That’s right, a girl can dream. On that note, I bring you my “Top Ten Things I [...]

Principles over Party

on November 12th, 2010

Governor Chris Christie—who has commendably been a defender of fiscal responsibility in New Jersey—recently declared, “I think Delaware was a missed opportunity to have a really good U.S. Senator,” affirming that he was proud to have endorsed Mike Castle. Former George W. Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson wrote in The Washington Post that unlike Christine O’Donnell [...]

Keep the Change, Mr. President

on October 15th, 2010

Looks like many 2008 “hope” and “change” poster carriers won’t be quite as psyched to rally behind our President in 2012. According to an October 7-10 Bloomberg national poll, “More than four of ten likely voters who say they once considered themselves Obama backers now are either less supportive or say they no longer support [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: Books, Murkowski, 2012, Tax Cuts, Candidates, and First-Class Advice

on October 12th, 2010

Are you currently reading a book you would recommend? – William; New York I’m reading David Limbaugh’s Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama, and I highly recommend it. It does a fantastic job of exposing the dangers of this administration’s policies, as well as highlighting Obama’s broken promises and the truth behind [...]
