Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

‘Let’s Move!’ Oversteps its Bounds

on March 1st, 2011

This past Sunday, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee offered commentary on Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. On CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Christie was asked, “What do you think about this criticism coming from the right of Michelle Obama, because she’s trying to get people to eat better?” He replied, [...]

Is Obama serious with this budget? – Greg A. What’s the matter, Greg? You’re not excited about adding roughly $13 trillion to our debt and at least $1.5 trillion in tax increases over the next ten years? A New Generation of Conservatives

on October 5th, 2010

Barack Obama captivated America’s 18-29 year-olds in 2008. According to the Pew Research Center, he seized 66% of the youth vote as compared to McCain’s 31%. He targeted their idealism and hunger for dynamic leadership with catchy slogans like “hope,” “change,” and “yes we can.” And it certainly worked. Kids proudly sported “Obama Is My [...]

on June 23rd, 2010

This week, I decided to mix things up a bit. Although I love my typical Q & A columns because they afford me the chance to address questions from my readers, I wanted to hear more from them. In other words, I wanted this column to center around their opinions, not mine. So, I decided [...]
