Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

Lessons Learned from Herman Cain’s Presidential Run

on December 5th, 2011

On Saturday afternoon, Herman Cain suspended his presidential campaign. He attributed his exit to the impact that “false and unproven” accusations had on his family, campaign donations, and ability to keep the focus on the issues. The Cain campaign clearly had some weaknesses — Cain’s lack of depth on foreign policy issues and some notable [...]

Herman Cain Could Be the Right Man for the Job

on October 19th, 2011

In last night’s CNN debate, Herman Cain once again defined himself as a businessman, not a politician, declaring in his introduction that “I solve problems for a living.” Cain has continued to rise significantly in the polls. Monday’s Rasmussen Reports survey showed him with a 43-41 percent lead over President Obama and a Newsmax/InsiderAdvantage poll [...]

Sarah Palin rocks Iowa: “The status quo is no longer an option”

on September 3rd, 2011

Sarah Palin hit the stage in Indianola, Iowa this afternoon to keynote the Tea Party of America’s “Restoring America” rally. And she certainly pulled no punches. Palin took on President Obama’s failed policies and proclivity toward crony capitalism, stood firm in her support for tea party principles and rekindled the 2008 RNC speech she gave [...]

What pundits should be talking about when it comes to Palin

on August 26th, 2011

While some pundits are busy calling Sarah Palin thin-skinned, claiming that there is “no space for her” in the 2012 race and incessantly speculating about her potential announcement date, some of us are sitting by laughing, sufficiently amused by typical establishment tactics that have grown tired, old and frankly a little boring. Mark Levin addressed [...]

Obama’s Defense of Lawlessness

on August 22nd, 2011

Why is it so hard for the Obama administration to comprehend the word “illegal”? If the Campaigner-in-Chief can handle a great big word like “redistribution,” what is it about “illegal” that he just can’t get? As reported by the Heritage Foundation blog The Foundry, last week’s announcement by the Department of Homeland Security would essentially “halt [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: June 2011 Edition

on June 24th, 2011

What do you think will be the most important issues for 2012 GOP candidates to tackle? – Alan K. Bringing down the unemployment rate and advocating pro-growth economic policies will be a top priority. Putting America on a real path toward energy independence is critical. Our debt is horrifying. As revealed by The Foundry this [...]

Time to Hold Obama Accountable in 2012

on May 6th, 2011

There has been quite a bit of talk about whether the killing of Osama bin Laden will increase President Obama’s chances of winning the 2012 election. A New York Times/CBS News poll this week revealed that “57 percent said they now approved of the president’s job performance, up from 46 percent last month.” However, The [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: April 2011 Edition

on April 28th, 2011

With all of the infighting in the Republican Party, how can a non-political junkie decide who the right candidate is? If I were Obama, I would keep my mouth shut and let the other side self-destruct. Why can’t they just concentrate on Obama’s record and stand together? – Ben While I agree that some political [...]

Sarah Palin Rocks Madison

on April 17th, 2011

She was feisty. She was bold. And she was gutsy. At a Tea Party rally in Madison, Wis., on Saturday, Sarah Palin pulled no punches. The former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential candidate credited the Tea Party with winning “an electoral victory of historic proportions last November.” She praised Scott Walker’s efforts toward fiscal discipline. [...]

Here’s What YOU Need To Be Our Next GOP President

on April 1st, 2011

Conservatives can agree that President Obama must be a one-term President.  America simply cannot afford more of his destructive policies.  But what are the traits of the ideal GOP candidate who can defeat him? (10)  Someone with rock-solid executive experience. If you have successfully balanced budgets and conducted common-sense cost-benefit analysis, you’re already two up [...]
