Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

GOP, what are you so afraid of?

on May 23rd, 2011

I spend quite a bit of time calling out some on the left. I detest big-government policies that simultaneously snatch our liberty and rob us blind. I find class warfare to be profoundly un-American. I have no patience for leftists who demand civility while spewing hateful rhetoric, or those who insist that feminism, diversity, and [...]

Obama’s 2011 SOTU: The Bigger Picture

on January 27th, 2011

I had a blast watching the State of the Union address, but that’s only because I spent most of it dancing around my apartment to the tune of “Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.” The speech was no different from nearly every other oratorical endeavor by our Campaigner-in-Chief. It was a bundle of [...]

If Only Obama Would Say

on November 19th, 2010

Have you ever sat on your living room sofa watching an Obama press conference or television interview, hoping for him to say something that would make you leap up with a big smile and applaud? I certainly have. That’s right, a girl can dream. On that note, I bring you my “Top Ten Things I [...]

Obama’s Divisive Games on Univision

on October 29th, 2010

In a recent radio interview with Univision’s Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo, President Obama was quick to call out those “from the other side” for their “divisive and damaging” rhetoric. The only problem? His own rhetoric was a prototype of division at its best, right down to the labeling and stereotyping he appears to love so much, [...]

Top Ten Leftist Comebacks

on October 22nd, 2010

You’ve heard them before and you’ll hear them again. They’ve occasionally inspired you to put on a “Right Wing Extremist” t-shirt – Founding Fathers image included – and stroll around the late-night San Francisco party scene. That’s right, folks. I’m talking about run-of-the-mill leftist comebacks. They’re plentiful, varied, and – most importantly – infused with [...]

Mr. Obama, Your Arrogance is Unappealing

on September 10th, 2010

Dear President Obama, First off, let’s get something out of the way. I don’t talk about you “like a dog.” Maybe like a far-left ideologue. Or an elitist. Or a redistributionist-in-chief. But certainly not a dog. Speaking of dogs, meet my Emma. Quite the patriot, I know. And that book in the photo with her—Liberty [...]

Obama vs. the American Majority

on August 17th, 2010

Did you ever dream about having a president whose stand on key issues would be notoriously at odds with the will of the American majority? No? Well, you got one anyway. According to Rasmussen on August 11, 30% of likely voters feel that the country is heading in the right direction. Since last July, the [...]

Jorge Ramos Plays Race Games with SB 1070

on July 9th, 2010

A family friend once told me that “You can’t argue logic with the illogical.” I’d like to add that you can’t argue truth with the dishonest. Enter anchor Jorge Ramos of Noticiero Univision. Ramos has become one of the Left’s leading critics of Arizona’s new immigration law, SB 1070. There are just a couple of [...]

America’s Unpresidential President

on June 11th, 2010

He’s just so darn presidential. You better know who I’m talking about . . . because if you don’t, I know whose ass to kick. In a recent interview with NBC’s “Today” show, President Obama said this: “I don’t sit around talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: Feminism, Palin, Conservative Leaders, and Arizona

on April 29th, 2010

Why are you a feminist and why do you feel a need for it in today’s society, when women are at least as equal as men?—Dan; Palm Beach, FL In the same way that I have immense respect for our Founding Fathers, I strongly admire those I consider to be our Founding Mothers. Suffragists like [...]
