Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

Q & A with Jedediah: Ground Zero Mosque, Captain Redistribution, and Lupica Hilarity

on August 31st, 2010

I heard you speak briefly about the Ground Zero Mosque on Hannity’s Great American Panel. What’s your full take as a New Yorker? – James; Florida I oppose the Park51 Islamic center for three main reasons: 1) The proximity of the proposed location to Ground Zero, a mere 560 feet away. Out of sensitivity to [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: My Questions, Your Answers

on June 23rd, 2010

This week, I decided to mix things up a bit. Although I love my typical Q & A columns because they afford me the chance to address questions from my readers, I wanted to hear more from them. In other words, I wanted this column to center around their opinions, not mine. So, I decided [...]

Miss Me Yet?

on June 5th, 2010

I have to admit that back in February, when I first saw the Minnesota Miss Me Yet? billboard featuring an image of President George W. Bush, I wished that the creative minds behind it had chosen a photo of Ronald Reagan instead. I guess that Bush’s expansion of the federal government’s role in our educational [...]

on May 18th, 2010

While all conservatives feel the overwhelming desire to remove the liberals/socialists/progressives from Congress and the White House, what are your views on proactive positions (What do we stand FOR)? I agree with strong foreign policy, border security, and reduction in the size of government, but what are your thoughts on the full platform?—Greg; Alpharetta, GA [...]

Q & A with Jedediah: The Conservative Imagination, Education, and National Security

on May 10th, 2010

William F. Buckley, Jr., Russell Kirk, and Irving Kristol, among others, were foremost in manifesting the conservative imagination in the 20th century, which coalesced in the fortuitous Reagan conservative coalition. Who do you see emerging as the intellectual avant-garde of the 21st century conservative imagination? (One rider: Your list cannot include best-selling authors, because they [...]

Americans Reject Arrogance in Our Leadership

on April 19th, 2010

Some women find themselves perpetually drawn to arrogant boyfriends. You know, the ones who remind you regularly how lucky you are to be with them. Some men are mesmerized by the patronizing lady who struts around with her nose in the air and won’t give them the time of day. Some kids can’t help but [...]

Obama’s Nuclear Posture Review: You Be the Judge

America’s most arrogant President has also become our most dangerous President. Marco Rubio’s CPAC Home Run

on February 22nd, 2010

So many frustrated conservatives have been awaiting the arrival of a Republican candidate who simply gets it.  Someone who isn’t a fancy token of the establishment, but a regular guy or gal who is smart, authentic, and in touch with America’s founding principles.  If you haven’t done so already, shift your focus over to Florida.  [...]
