Untitled Document I’ve been known to call it like I see it. I talk way too much about my Maltese. I adore handwritten letters. I watch horror movies and listen to music that makes my grandmother proud. I fantasize about winter cottages. I hate that dream where I’m running from something and I’m in slow motion. I believe in God. I eat lots of kale. I run, spin, lift weights, and like to climb things. Oh, and I LOVE my country.

Out of sensitivity to [...]

Leftist Mama Grizzlies Attack Palin

on August 20th, 2010

EMILY’s List, a self-proclaimed “community of progressive Americans dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women to every level of office,” has launched its latest scheme against Sarah Palin’s “Mama Grizzlies” outreach. If you haven’t checked out the video, you must. It’s downright hysterical. And not just because of the bear costumes and growling. Some of the [...]

Caucasian Woman and the Seven Vertically-Challenged Men

on August 10th, 2010

On Saturday, I decided to help out a friend by babysitting her daughter, Amy. Amy’s pretty much an adult living inside a six-year-old body, which made for an interesting afternoon (especially because I’m about seven at heart, eight on a mature day). We stopped by a nearby candy store first. Amy picked up a small [...]

on August 4th, 2010

“I’m not a politician. I’m a concerned citizen,” said Joe Miller, Alaska’s GOP senatorial candidate, in an exclusive interview with Jedediah Bila. “I believe our nation is at a crossroads, and business as usual will no longer work.” Miller, who is challenging Republican Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, defines himself as “a limited-government constitutionalist.” “We must [...]

The Leaders We Choose

on August 3rd, 2010

One of the biggest complaints Americans have about our elected officials is that they lack authenticity. The current administration’s hope and change promises and transparency talk didn’t quite hold up when the tax cheats, backroom deals, and a bundle of former Clinton appointees rolled in with the “yes we can” posse. But it’s important for [...]
